Turn it up to 11

A study was made to see which Western babies were the quietest, and people from Denmark reported the least crying.

But when the scientists went to Denmark to study it, they found that Danish babies cry just as much as other Western babies. It turned out that even though you'll find plenty of Danes complaining about noisy babies, Danes in general are much more tolerant of crying babies than in other countries and it takes more for them to get annoyed. So the scientists then tried to explain that, and so far their best guess is that Danes have more room for children of all ages expressing themselves.

The quietest babies in the world can be found in African and Far Eastern countries, where the parents (or grandparents) usually have the babies with them at all time, which makes the babies feel safe.

Language Barrier

I've seen several Americans say they wouldn't want to visit another country without leaning the language because they feel it would be rude otherwise.

It very much depends on the country. It's of course a huge advantage in countries where they don't speak English like Japan, and the Japanese generally like it when tourists at least try.

The French aren't huge fans of English, and I've met several people who would say stuff in French at me first despite me making it clear I didn't understand a word, then begrudgingly speak English.

Most Danes understand English and see no point in tourists leaning Danish. A simple "Tak" (thank you) is appreciated because it shows an interest, but Danes will generally get annoyed if you try something longer than that, start finishing your sentences and speak English to you. It can be super rude, but it's really just them telling you "It's okay, I understand English. Don't waste your time trying to learn Danish". So if you want to learn Danish it's best to practice with your friends rather than a random store clerk who'd much prefer you speak English.

Makeover of 2016

I warned you America would get a makeover if Trump won. This won't be a one-off joke either. He'll look like this for the next four years. Eight if America picks him again.

Sister America will stay the same because she belongs to the American Left.

EDIT: I will be the happiest person a live if four or eight years a from now I'll have to eat every bad thing I've ever said about Trump. Sometimes realizing you were wrong can be the best feeling in the world.

But Nazi Germany is in this comic because a lot of neo-Nazi groups and the KKK have supported Trump publicly because of his xenophobic, racist and sexist views. So you might have voted for him despite of those things, but they voted for him because of it.

So I will be beyond happy if you and Trump together prove the terrified Lefties and the happy Nazis and clan members wrong.

Dance With Me

I was reading up on Danish folk dancing, and the description "partner swapping" came up a lot. So much so that it's not unusual for women to end up with women and men with men at some point during a dance.

Also, screaming in each other's faces. There's quite a bit of that.

Danish folk dancing isn't set in stone, so it has become very common to add a bit of Russian flare to make it more entertaining to watch.

Family Time

My housemate who has spent a good chunk of her life in the US told me about how if Americans say they'll make cookies, more often than not they mean take out a roll of premade cookie dough they bought at the store, cut it into slices and bake it in an oven.

I on the other hand, leaned while living in England that the English looove putting grated cheese on everything. Everything!

Oh, get a room you two!

America is super popular in Japan, and Japan is super popular in America, though most everyday people in either country don't know this.

I talked to a Japanese woman who told me that when she went to USA everything felt so familiar because they watched so many American movies in Japan and she almost felt at home, but when she went to Europe she had no idea what to do with herself.

Kindred Spirits

Somewhere Sweden is doing a perfect evil laugh.

Lately a lot of people have drawn their versions of Sister Japan, so I thought it was about time I introduced her before too many people got disappointed that she doesn’t look as awesome as they imagined.

She’s very polite and quiet, but underneath it all she is quite the fangirl.

Belgium is well known for it’s comics and candy/deserts, so he is a geek with a sweet tooth.
