Finland explained himself in the comic, but in 2010 Denmark started giving heroine to drug addicts for free and it was such a huge success that it has continued until today. Because of this Norway has started experimenting with it too.It’s a lot cheaper for society because the addicts commit less crime, they don’t have to spend money on drugs so instead they spend it on things that are more healthy for them so they don’t end up on the hospital as often, they have to take the drugs in special clinics so there’s no chance of them taking an overdose or using dirty needles and spreading diseases among each other, there’s always staff ready to help them if they want to get off the drugs, and it’s a lot more effective way to help more people because addicts come into contact with professionals who want to help them before they even think about getting help themselves.
Nobody wants to be homeless or an addict. Though they often end up getting involved in criminality because of their situation, the act of being homeless or an addict is not a crime in itself and the people deserve help like anyone else.

Picking and choosing
It's a very common reaction in the Nordic countries to just dismiss Iceland's place on lists because they are so few people. I was reminded of this when I overheard two people talk about this list and one of them said "We have more people in our capital than they have people in their whole country. Of course it's easy to keep a place like that safe". Sweden had much the same reaction when Iceland was higher up on the list than them regarding gender equality. America of course has a tendency to make their own versions of foreign films, but they also edit foreign film covers and posters to make them look more aggressive because apparently Americans respond best to that sort of thing. Sauna for a king
A Burger King in Finland has a sauna in it because of course it does.All the American fastfood chains had to make some major changes to their recipes to be allowed into the Nordic countries. Burger King definitely isn't the worst offender. So be warned if you ever visit a Nordic country and craves fastfood: it's more healthy here but also more expensive because not only are the restaurants expected to use better ingredients but they also have to pay their employees proper wages.

Every time Trump praise a Scandinavian country for something the country responds with mockery.
